Defending champions Inter Milan cruised to a dominant 6-0 victory at Lazio in Serie A on Monday, with rapid-fire goals before and after halftime.
Hakan Calhanoglu gave Inter the lead with a penalty in the 41st minute following a handball, and Federico Dimarco extended the advantage with a volley just before halftime.
Nicolo Barella added a third just six minutes after the restart, followed by Denzel Dumfries who scored two minutes later. Carlos Augusto and Marcus Thuram rounded off the rout with late goals.
Inter stay third in the standings with 34 points from 15 matches, three points behind leaders Atalanta with a game in hand. Lazio are fifth with 31 points from 16 matches.
